Today when scarlet fell from mid tier, I realised that we really have lesser and lesser people coming for training...I felt that the attendence was becoming so miserable that we didnt have enough spotters around to be self sufficient. If u look back many atimes recently, we had a lot of senior spotters who just happened to be around and didn't need to come for training at all. But the team itself didn't even have enough attendence for a relatively safer training in total by ourselves.
Every time we do a pyramid or a toss, we put a risk to our flyers.
It's a life u are talking about.
At this stage when everyone's basically injured like on some part of their body, you never know if the next injury might be too serious that would even cause u some permanent damage or even ur cheerleading life.
Not to the extent of the constant preach to like resist..haha...I feel that the core injuries come from the direct falls due lack of hands around. Anyway, I just hope attendance can get better next time. More people = More fun = More safe training.
But to the extent of treasuring our flyers, for goodness sake respect the bases who save u and get hit all the time by you. Give them a thank or wat.
Seriously, it is such a lousy job that u use the most strength and energy, get hit all the time at every weird places, and try to save all your flyers and get scolded when the flyer falls everytime. I mean I know the flyers get injured physically, but when a stunt fall, to me, it means both the base and flyer mistake, because as u see, cheerleading is never an individual thing. And the psychological burden behind having caused someone to fall is pretty heavy as I see..
Oh well probably most people dun agree with me.
So my conclusion is flyers should lock like hell especially if u are falling because u are not sleeping beauties. People wants to see cheerleaders. If they wanted sleeping beauties, they would have gone to Disneyland.
And more people are needed for trainings because more people = more fun = more safe training.
I really respect scarlet and qq today.
When scarlet fell, I can sense that she was very afraid inside her but she just tried to gek a very solemn and calm face and stood up when i think she was still in pain.
When qq fell, she was like as if she was not injured and carried on training, and I only found out later her head was spinning badly and in pain for the rest of the training.
CLAP CLAP*
I may sound comical when I blog about these, but these are people whom I really call cheerleaders.
